Student Services
Music Education Centers offers a variety of Musical enrichment programs. A comprehensive list of descriptions is available below. Complete registration materials and a simple online registration is available on the Registration page.
Many of our programs require a long-term commitment. Please do not let that hold you back from signing up. It may take several lessons or classes to determine if the program will be effective. You do not have to commit right away. If after the first month, your expectations are not met, simply let us know that you will not be continuing - it's that easy!
Evaluation / Trial Lesson
Each new student enrolling in Private Lesson Programs recieves a trial lesson before beginning their study. The length of the lesson is 30 minutes. The purpose is to give the new student a chance to explore their instrument and become acquainted with their new instructor. Available: All Locations - Cost FREE!
Private Lessons
One-to-one instruction on many musical instruments taught by experienced and caring teaching professionals. Lesson programs are offered on almost any instrument and our program is designed for students of All Ages and Abilities. Private lessons are the gateway to joining a student ensemble or performing in a concert or recital. Available: All Locations - Cost as low as $100/month - family discounts available!
Group Lessons
Lessons offered on Piano and Percussion in an intimate small group setting. Socialization and cooperative learning is encouraged through lesson plans geared toward one particular instrument. Available: All Locations - Cost $60/month.
Exploring Music Series
Classes of up to 8 students will explore the fundamentals of music through activites and lesson plans focusing on rhythm, melody, harmony, instrument families and popular musical idioms. Classes are broken up by age group. Available: CDS Wolf Transitions Center, Pieter's Family Life Center & Private and Community Residences - Cost Varies by location.
Basic Songwriting
An introduction to the basic concepts of songwriting. Students will be exposed to various techniques of songwriting. Topics will include, melody, lyrics, structure and arrangement. Available: Pieter's Family Life Center, Webster Studio - Cost $60/month
Ensembles
Groups of students will learn to perform songs together. Ensembles will consist of Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, Voice and other auxillary instruments. Students will have the opportunity to perform at public events and our recitals.
